On a recent trip to South Australia we tasted a fantastic wine. Coriole Poet Series Cabernet / Barbera 2004 McLaren Vale S.A. The wine is only available at the winery cellar door or through Winebuds.

This extremely limited pack includes 6 bottles of the wine, beautifully presented, each with its own poem on the back from famous Australian poet Jude Aquilina whose work has been published in newspapers and literary journals across Australia and in the UK. You will also receive a copy of 'On a moon spiced night' Jude’s latest book of poetry.

This will make a fantastic gift for someone special or someone who has it all and of course let's not forget the wine lover. Barbera is an Italian grape variety that blends beautifully with Cabernet.

The wine will cellar long term and improve greatly with a year cellaring in the bottle. The two varieties were fermented together and aged for a year in small French oak. A proportion of the cabernet was produced by drying the fruit before fermentation.
